Week 42: see glass art being made

There’s plenty of activity on Bornholm during week 42, the school autumn break. Among the highlights is a visit to Baltic Sea Glass  – one of Bornholm's oldest glass studios.

We’ve set up chairs so you can sit and watch the fascinating process as the glassblowers work their magic with the glowing hot material. It truly feels like magic when a small lump of molten glass slowly is transformed into a vase, drinking glass, or an elegant pitcher. The experience is enjoyable, entertaining, and relaxing for both adults and children alike.

If you missed this summer’s exhibition at Bornholm’s Center for Crafts at Grønbechsgård in Hasle, where Baltic Sea Glass presented ten monumental vases, here’s your chance to catch it again! You can now see some of these vases displayed in our atelier at Melstedvej 47, where they’ll be showcased for the coming period.

Come by and experience glassmaking at an impressive international level up close. Our glassblowers work Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm, with a break around midday.
